Ganuelas-Rosser Out, Vigil In For San Miguel Beer in PBA Bubble
San Miguel Beermen will be missing the services of Matthew Ganuelas-Rosser in the restart of the 2019-2020 PBA Philippine Cup on October 11 at the Angeles University Foundation Gym in Clark, Pampanga.
Beermen head coach Leo Austria said in an interview with Athlete’s Tribune podcast of The Daily Tribune on Monday night that Filipino-American guard-forward has begged off from joining the team in the PBA bubble.
According to Austria, Ganuelas-Rosser is currently in the United States and has wrote the SMC management that he cannot be able to fly back to Manila in time for the restart.
Replacing Ganuelas-Rosser in the Beermen’s lineup is gunner Louie Vigil, who was previously loaned to the San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas in the cancelled ASEAN Basketball League.
The Beermen, which is aiming for its sixth consecutive All-Filipino conference championship, already missed the services of center June Mar Fajardo for the rest of the season due to knee injury.
