As the Milwaukee Bucks lead the Eastern Conference Finals series 1-0 in the opening Game 1 against the Toronto Raptors, superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo anticipated that it’s just going to be rough, maybe even more, in their next games to come. The Bucks won against the Raptors 108-100 on Thursday (Manila time) thanks to the heroics of center Brook Lopez.

Antetokounmpo lauded Lopez’ sudden explosion against the unstoppable Raptors. “This is the Brook we all know and love. We just want him to be aggressive, especially in this series.”

The Greek Freak, who had 24 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assist, felt proud seeing his other teammates step up for the team.

Even though they had a slow start, the Bucks were able to minimize the lead of the Raptors in the latter part of the game. Khris Middleton was able to guard and lower the production of Raptors’ Kawhi Leonard which made a huge impact for the defense of the team. Middleton finished 11 points with 11 rebounds.

“I think we need games like this,” Antetokounmpo said, “because not every game is going to be a blowout.”

He also shared that the team’s performance in Game 1 gave them a boosting confidence coming into Game 2 on Saturday (Manila time).

“Not every game is going to be easy. And I think this game definitely made us better.”
