Gilas 5.0 falter in FIBA Asia Cup debut vs India


Still a game well-played.

Gilas 5.0 put up a huge fight before succumbing to India, 83-91, in their debut game at the 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge Cup in Iran.

Mac Belo led the charge for the Philippine squad with 21 points and five boards while Ed Daquioag added 15 markers.

Gilas had the 75-74 lead in the fourth frame before Amyjot Singh took over and turned things around.

Singh finished with 24 points and 18 boards for India.

Gilas 5.0 will next face Chinese Taipei on Sunday.
