Brothers Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena are once again facing criticism from Gilas Pilipinas fans on social media after being included in the 21-player pool for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
The supporters of the national men’s basketball team took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the return of the Ravena brothers to the Philippine team.
They expressed their belief that the Ravena brothers appeared to be the favorites of head coach Vincent “Chot” Reyes and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, as they have been consistently included in the Gilas team.
Here are some of the comments from the SBP’s Facebook post announcing the composition of the 21-player pool:
“Lakas talaga nung magkapatid, pwede namang si Romeo at Lassiter pareho namang walang injury.”

Kiefer and Thirdy have faced significant criticism from fans due to their inconsistent performances in previous tournaments and competitions as members of Gilas Pilipinas.
