Gilas Pilipinas: Rosario highly doubtful to make roster cut
Gilas Pilipinas suffers another blow to their roster as TNT KaTropa’s Troy Rosario remains questionable to make the final roster cut for the second window of the FIBA World Qualifiers.
“He’s cleared to practice, but he's really not cleared to play,” said Gilas head coach Chot Reyes. “He’s
cleared to do light workouts and shooting drills but not really full contact. We’re not keeping our hopes up high for him to be able to join the team.”
With the absence of Rosario, Almazan and Abueva, Gilas will have a hard time competing with the size of the Australian national team.
Nonetheless, Rosario is safe from harm and he just returned to practice just recently.
Gilas Pilipinas will leave for Melbourne, Australia on February 19 before returning to Manila to face Japan on February 25 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
