Gilas Power data, load cards unveiled ahead of 2023 FIBA World Cup

Smart Communications Inc., the global partner of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, has launched special load data that will allow Filipinos to watch the Gilas Pilipinas games through their mobile phones.

The Gilas Power 399 is a data-packed offer that will allow basketball fans to watch the Gilas Pilipinas and other matches in the 2023 FIBA World Cup on the Smart LiveStream App.

The Gilas Power 399 comes with a total of 78 gigabytes (GB) worth of data, consisting of 48 GB for all sites and apps (18 GB plus 1 GB per day for 30 days) plus 30 GB for the Smart LiveStream App (1 GB per day for 30 days) for only P399.

“Gilas Power 399 pays tribute to 1978, the year when the Philippines first played host to the prestigious tournament then known as the FIBA World Championships,” Smart said in a statement on Tuesday.

Smart Prepaid subscribers can register for Gilas Power 399 exclusively via the GigaLife App and the Maya App for a limited time only.

Aside from the affordable load data, Smart is also set to launch limited-edition Gilas Load Cards featuring some of the players of the national men’s basketball team.

The said load card, which was designed by Pinoy basketball artist and advocate Mike Swift, will soon be available at the Smart Online Store, select Smart Stores, and accredited retailers nationwide.

“These iconic and collectible Gilas Load Cards featuring the country’s best Gilas players enable fans to own a piece of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 history,” the telecommunications company said.
