GILAS Pilipinas will test its preparations against Korean Basketball League (KBL) side Ulsan Hyundai Mobis in an exhibition game on Thursday.
The tune-up game is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the San Miguel Corporation facility as Gilas continues its buildup for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers and the 2026 Asian Games.
The match will give head coach Tim Cone and his staff an opportunity to assess the national team’s current form and evaluate players ahead of the crucial FIBA window.
Gilas is preparing for the upcoming qualifiers against Jordan and Iran, while also ramping up its preparations for the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
The Philippines is also set to defend its men’s basketball gold medal in the Asian Games after winning the title in Hangzhou in 2023. (Adrian Co)
