Ginebra’s Jared Dillinger now a 9-time PBA champ

Jared Dillinger became the winningest player on the current Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings roster following their 2022–23 PBA Commissioner’s Cup win over the Bay Area Dragons.

The 6-foot-4 Dillinger, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 PBA Rookie Draft, notched his ninth PBA championship overall with the Gin Kings’ recent victory.

It was the 39-year-old Dillinger’s fourth PBA title overall with the Gin Kings. He won his first five-league championship during his time with Talk N’ Text.

Reserve center Raymond Aguilar, for his part, hoisted his sixth PBA championship, all since he was traded to Ginebra from Blackwater in 2017. He tied Justin Brownlee to a number of PBA rings.

Dillinger and Aguilar were both used sparingly by Ginebra head coach Tim Cone, but they were vital cogs in the Gin Kings’ practices and well-loved by the Ginebra fans.

Meanwhile, those who won their first-ever PBA titles were Jamie Malonzo as well as rookies Jeremiah Gray and Jason David.

Two-time PBA champs, meanwhile, were Nard John Pinto and Sidney Onwubere. Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle, on the other hand, have won the chip four times each, while Von Pessumal has won it five times.

Seven-time PBA titlists were Earl Scottie Thompson and Aljon Mariano, while veterans Japeth Aguilar and LA Tenorio hoisted the PBA crown eight times already.
