‘Grind Doesn’t Stop’ for Juan GDL despite filling up stat sheets
This is the Juan Gomez De Liaño that we knew.
Even UP standout Paul Desiderio confirmed that Juan GDL just regained his form.

The 19-year old struggled in UP’s first 10 games after dealing with numerous injuries this Season 82, only posting game averages of 6.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steal.
However, the younger GDL found his mojo back UP’s last couple of games in which he averaged 13.0 points, 7.5 boards, 4.0 dimes, and 1.5 steals.
Against NU Bulldogs, Juan GDL flirted with triple-double with his 11-point, 11-rebounds, and six-assist performance.
“The grind doesn’t stop,” he said after an 80-77 victory.
“I just kept on working out. Every day, I’m trying to get better.”
Despite showing flashes of what he is capable of, Juan GDL hopes that his game would translate into playoffs success for UP.
“I hope that it continues. At the rate we’re going, my progression and the team’s progression, I just think we’re gonna get better,” he shared.
“It’s just all about sacrifice. Whatever I do, it’s just all about sacrifice.”
