Holts gifts Jalalon explosive performance to lift Chiefs past Lyceum

Dioncee Holts wouldn’t want Team Captain Jiovani Jalalon celebrate his birthday without a dime.

The American reinforcement posted a double-double performance to fuel Arellano Chiefs in a slim win over Lyceum Pirates, 81-76, in the ongoing NCAA men’s basketball tourney.

Holts finished with his season-high 20 points and 15 rebounds while ‘The Conductor’ Kent Salado added 17 markers.

Jalalon, who is celebrating his 23rd birthday today, chipped in 13 points and seven assists.

LPU had the chance to tie the game with 20 seconds remaining, 76-79, but Reymar Caduyac’s triple went wide.

Harry Nzeusseu top scored with 24 points and 17 boards for Lyceum who fell to 3-5.
