IN NUMBERS: Philippines’ lost to Vietnam in women’s volleyball


The Philippine national women’s volleyball team suffered a lost against Vietnam, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 25-20, 8-15, in the ongoing 2019 SEA Games.

Volleyball phenom Alyssa Valdez scored 22 points, leading the team.

Vietnam skipper Thi Thanh Thuy Tran, also known as T4, had 27 points on 26 attacks.

The Philippines had 62 attack points compared to Vietnam’s 60.

The Philippines had 4 aces compared to 1 by Vietnam.

Maddie Madayag and Majoy Baron each had 3 block points. The Philippines had 9 block points in total, 6 points less than Vietnam’s 15.

The Philippines will try to bounce back against Southeast Asian volleyball giant Thailand on Thursday, November 5, at the Philsport Arena in Pasig City.
