Injured Fajardo makes ‘grand’ entrance to receive 6th PBA MVP award
San Miguel Beermen star June Mar Fajardo made a grand entrance to receive his sixth straight MVP award on Sunday during the PBA Leo Awards at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Suffering from a complete fracture of his right tibia during an offseason practice, the Cebuano giant rolled in on a bicycle to receive the league’s highest individual honor.

The 6’10 slotman beat out Christian Standhardinger of NorthPort, Columbian rookie CJ Perez, and Jayson Castro of TnT for the award.
The injury will most likely sideline Fajardo for the rest of the season. But that did not hamper him from cracking a joke: “Sana next year ulit.”
Fajardo was also named in the First Mythical Team as well as the All-Defensive Team selection.
