Filipina setter Iris Tolenada is set to head overseas to sign with the GS Caltex squad in the Korean Volleyball League.
The squad announced the signing on Friday as they made final preparations for the start of the upcoming Korean V-League season this August.
The 31-year-old setter has a rich history in Philippine volleyball, having played for various prestigious teams. She was previously a key player for the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors before her recent stint with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the Premier Volleyball League.
Tolenada has also proudly represented the Philippines as part of the Choco Mucho-Philippines team in the AVC Cup.
The player from California State is the second PVL volleyball player set to compete in the Korean V-League, alongside Gwangju’s MarJana Philips.
