Ja Morant jokes about controversial jersey statement
The NBA has allowed its players to replace their names on jersey for social justice statement, but Ja Morant thought of something controversial.
On Instagram story, the Memphis Grizzlies rookie reposted an image that said “F***” on the back of his jersey, above his usual No. 12.
“F*** 12” is a known anti-police term, and it was deemed to be relevant considering the outrage that the people feel towards every cops in the Black Lives Matter movement.

Morant would apologize for sharing the said post, although the netizens thought that he has done nothing wrong.
