James Harden bids farewell to Houston

Despite leaving in a bitter note, James Harden still was able to pen a heartfelt post bidding farewell to the Houston Rockets.

The Brooklyn-bound superstar said on his Instagram that he is “forever indebted” to the team and its fans.

“What can I write? What words can convey all the ways I feel,” he wrote on his caption accompanied a highlight video of his tenure with the Rockets. “Houston you welcomed me with no guarantees. Took a leap of faith and it changed my life and the lives of my family forever.”

Harden spent eight years with Houston where he became a three-time scoring champ and won MVP in 2017-18 season.

“This organization, this city has given me everything I could ask for and more. Before the scoring titles long before MVP you believed. For that I am forever indebted.”

However, it all ended dramatically after he requested for a trade in the offseason, and it all became official when “The Beard” was part of a blockbuster four-team deal that sent him to the Nets.

He will team up once again with former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Kevin Durant and fellow Nets star Kyrie Irving.

“I gave my mind body and soul in hopes of bringing the glory to the city. I fell short and for that I am forever indebted. It’s far from a good bye as I pay all my debts. TMC H Town!,” Harden said.
