James Harden surprises Joel Embiid with Rolex watch for winning MVP

Joel Embiid on Wednesday won his first Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, and James Harden made the day extra special for “The Process” through a special gift.

Harden, a former MVP, gave Embiid a brand new Rolex watch with the engraving “23 MVP.”

Embiid was elated with the gift, as it was his first Rolex watch. He also embraced Harden after receiving the gift.

The Cameroonian center garnered 73 first-place votes to win his first MVP award. He edged former MVPs Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who received 15 and 12 first-place votes, respectively.

During the regular season, Embiid averaged 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 66 games. His efforts were enough to carry the 76ers to the third seed in the East.

Embiid is the first Philadelphia player to win the MVP award since Allen Iverson in 2001. (MJD)
