Jaylen Brown tests positive from COVID-19
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown has tested positive for COVID-19.
The team announced that Brown is asymptomatic and currently quarantining.
Brown will be missing the entire preseason, and he is doubtful in the October 20 opener against New York Knicks.
Brown has yet to confirmed about his vaccination status.
“I think it’s a personal decision and have my own thoughts about it, but I respect my teammates’ decision,” he said during Celtics’ media day. “I know everyone has an opinion on it, but it’s a personal choice.”
Prior to testing positive, Brown led the Celtics in a 98-97 victory against the Orlando Magic.
He finished with 25 points, four rebounds, and three assists in 26 minutes of action.
