Jayson Castro notches 5th BPC award
Jayson Castro has earlier admitted that his playing skills are about to taper off now that he’s 33 years old.
But it doesn’t look that way on Sunday evening, as Castro was crowned 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best Player of the Conference.
This is the former Best Point Guard in Asia’s fifth BPC award of his historic PBA career.
Castro beat San Miguel Beermen’s main man June Mar Fajardo and Blackwater Elite rookie Ray Parks for the plum.
“The Blur” averaged 14.7 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.3 rebounds through the semis for 33.7 SP.
Castro is currently averaging 20.3 points, 7.3 dimes, and 5.3 boards in the Finals, where TNT leads the series 2-1.
