JDV hopes to see changes in PBA’s draft rule for Fil-foreigners
Barangay Ginebra veteran Joe Devance wants to see some changes in PBA’s draft rule that involves aspirinh Fil-foreigner players, especially those who were born outside the country.
The Fil-foreigner rule became a hot topic once again now after sports agent Charlie Dy confirmed that Jason Brickman, Brandon Ganuelas Rosser, and Jeremiah Gray would not be able to make it in the 2020 PBA Draft.
The trio will have to secure a certification and affirmation from Department of Justice and Bureau of Immigration proving that they are Filipino citizens.
However, none of them could not submit the necessary documents in the draft proceedings since they are all in US following the strict travel restrictions.
“I hope there will be revisions in the rule as well,” Devance tweeted.
