JEAN Claude Saclag delivered the Philippines’ first silver medal of the 20th Asian Games after finishing second in the men’s traditional -65kgs division on Tuesday at the Nagoya City Inae Sports Center.
The Kalinga-born fighter fell to Tajikistan’s Otabek Rajabov, 3-0, in the gold-medal bout, denying Saclag a chance to give the country its first gold of the Games.
Saclag’s silver was the second medal for the Philippines in mixed martial arts, following Carlos Alvarez’s bronze in the men’s traditional -77kg division on Monday. (By the Staff)
