Jeff Green converted two go-ahead free throws as Brooklyn Nets escaped with a 114-112 win over New York Knicks in the 2020-2021 NBA Season on Monday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Green broke the 112-all deadlock for the Nets after drawing a foul from Knicks’ Reggie Bullock with 3.2 seconds remaining. Brooklyn then put on a defensive stop on the other end to escape with the win.

Green finished the match with 23 points, including two triples, to go along with four rebounds, one assist and a steal for the Nets, which seize the solo first place in the East with 35-16 slate.

Kyrie Irving added 40 points to go along with seven assists, while Joe Harris and Alize Johnson contributed 16 and 12 markers, respectively, for Brooklyn.

Brooklyn pulled off the win despite losing star James Harden four minutes into the game due to hamstring tightness while also playing minus injured stars Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin.

RJ Barrett top-scored with 22 points, Bullock added 21 markers, while Julius Randle had triple-double 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists for the Knicks, which dropped to 25-26.

Meanwhile, Gary Trent Jr. drained game-winning triple at the buzzer as Toronto Raptors (20-30) scored with 103-101 victory over the Washington Wizards (17-32).

Trent, who moved to the Raptors via trade from Portland Trail Blazers last month, ended the match with 16 points along with two rebounds and two assists.

Pascal Siakam led the Toronto victory with 22 points, while Malachi Flynn, Deandre Bembry and OJ Anunoby contributed 16, 15 and 14 markers, respectively.
