Jenny Yu swamps Nadine Lustre in Pinoy hoopsters’ hearts
1. Pinoy fans dream of Jenny Yu
Filipino hoops fans haven’t forgotten Jenny Yu. In fact, they’ve been letting the Taiwanese sports reporter know exact what they feel about her and the “thing” she has going with Gilas Pilipinas guard Terrence Romeo.
“We want #RomYu live in manila!” commented jgnymrieeeon this selfie posted by the bubbly Jenny.
medzmangiginthen wrote, “Jenny, you are a genuine person and Philippines is you’re biggest fans now!We longing for an update from you!Hope to hear from you the soonest.#RomYu”
“Lots of love from Philippine fans ❤️❤️❤️,” added edward676.
#RomYu has the potential to rival the #AlDub phenomenon…if only Jenny would answer.
2. Nadine Lustre makes Scottie Thompson’s knees weak
Perpetual Atlas guard Scottie Thompson has a major league crush on Nadine Lustre. The butterflies in Thompson’s stomach probably went wild upon seeing this image of the young star on her hit prime time drama, “On the Wings of Love”, which the baller apparently follows like a religion. “OTWOL na ??? @nadzlustre,” wrote the reigning NCAA MVP on his Instagram. Hopefully Nadine’s first on-screen kiss with love team partner James Reid didn’t leave Scottie an emotional wreck.

3. Dondon Hontiveros shows jump shot form
Gilas Pilipinas swingman Dondon Hontiveros is very good at jump shots. Only, this isn’t the “jump shot” that we mean.
The veteran marksman appears to be in his element in this Instagram post as the rest of his Gilas teammates continue their training camp in his native province of Cebu.
Better sharpen up your real jump shot in time for the FIBA Asia Cup, Dondon.
4. Meet Willie Miller’s hunky ‘twin’ Two-time
PBA MVP Willie Miller is using his “natural likeness” with hunky actor Derek Ramsay to convince people that they are twins. Sounds absurd? It does, which is the reason why Miller and the rest of his co-stars in the sitcom “No Harm No Foul” will be exploring this wacky angle in their next episode. “May bagong recruit sa Team Galas, ang kakambal ni Kuya Wil na si Derek! Magkahawig naman sila di ba?” read the episode’s teaser. Do we really have to answer that question?

5. Emman Monfort high on Maroon 5
Maroon 5’s music left Emman Monfort in such a high that his girlfriend Jewel Navoa was able to video him for a few seconds without him noticing it.
This took place during the American pop rock band’s concert in Manila.
“Best surprise yet! Thank you to the most amazing person in the world,” wrote Jewel on her Instagram to go along with Monfort’s video. The Barako Bull guard apparently took Navoa to the concert date.
Girl, please don’t repay Emman by posting videos of his unguarded moments.
6. Floyd Mayweather Jr. electrifies Meralco Bolts
The Meralco Bolts have been running into sports celebrities left and right in their ongoing training in Las Vegas. One of them happened to be well-acquainted with a certain Mahindra player named Manny Pacquiao. That guy is none other than undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., who graciously joined the Pinoy ballers for pictures. “Day 9 training is done! Marcus Banks of boston celtics and the TMT Floyd Mayweather is in the house watching our game,” said starstruck forward John Ferriols, who posted a collage of their big-time encounter on Instagram.

7. Kobe Paras gets ‘epic birthday message’ from bro
Basketball phenom Kobe Paras just turned 18 years old, and who better out there to greet him on his special day than his older brother-slash-best friend, Andre?
“If i had i time machine id go back to the day where we had no responsibilities. happy 18th birthday my idol. I love you so much you big baby+ (sent you my epic bday message hahaha),” said Kobe’s celebrity kuya, who posted a cute throwback photo on his Instagram.
Kobe and Andre are the sons of PBA legend Benjie Paras. Of the two siblings, talented swingman Kobe seems to be poised to surpass his father as he is in a good position to be drafted into the NBA one day.
8. Troy Rosario’s ‘take out’ is porkalicious
When in Cebu, make sure you get a mouthful of their epic lechon. Gilas Pilipinas stalwart Troy Rosario made sure to take home the province’s famous take on the pork dish as the national team broke camp and headed back to Manila. We bet your Instagram post made Anthony Bourdain green with envy, Troy.

9. Rodney Brondial rubs elbows with pool greats
Barangay Ginebra heartthrob Rodney Brondial is sandwiched here by two billiard legends, Efren “Bata” Reyes and Franciso “Django” Bustamante.
This chance encounter with the pool geniuses took place during the annual Oktoberfest party that was attended by various SMC stars from the PBA.
We’ll go out on a limb and say that the only reason why a non-Filipino won the just-concluded World 9-Ball Championship in Doha, Qatar was because Bata and Django elected to skip it. Brondial knows just as much.
10. James Yap hopes yoga will make Hotshots winners again
Coming off a disappointing season last year, the Purefoods Star Hotshots are willing to try any method that can bring them back to their old, four-peating selves. Franchise player James Yap is hoping that their new yoga sessions will do the trick. “The team that does yoga together, stays together! #starhotshots #beyondyoga #yoga,” wrote the two-time PBA MVP on his Instagram. With a new coach at the helm in Jason Webb, the Hotshots surely need all the pre-season gelling that they can get.
