Jeron Teng returns for winless Alaska

Struggling at the start of the PBA Governors’ Cup, Alaska is set to get a much-needed lift as Jeron Teng is scheduled to return on Sunday in the game against Rain or Shine.

Teng just recovered from a hamstring injury that required two weeks of rest.

He averaged 9.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for the Aces in the Commissioner’s Cup.

Jeron’s return is expected to be a boost for the Aces, who are still looking for their first win in the conference under new head coach Jeff Cariaso.

Without Teng and fellow injured players in Kevin Racal and Maverick Ahanmisi, the Aces have so far lost five games.

Aside from the three, Noy Baclao will be out the longest after he sustained a ruptured patella tendon in his right knee, forcing him to miss eight to 10 months.
