Adversities and challenges wouldn’t stop Jerrick Balanza in giving his all for the Letran Knights.

Every time Balanza feels the pressure of carrying the team towards success, he would always lean towards his faith with God.

“As a team captain grabe yung pressure sa akin, ‘di ko alam, ‘di ako makagalaw, ‘di ko malaro yung gusto ko, pressure talaga eh,” said the 23-year old after Letran’s 82-77 knockout victory over Lyceum on Friday.

Of course, it was his solid faith with God that allowed him to make an inspiring comeback after being diagnosed with brain tumor.

To make things sweeter for the Letran skipper, the Knights saw themselves book another trip in the Finals for the first time since they won the championship in 2015.

“Thankful sobra, sobra talaga.

Once again, Letran will be facing their archrival San Beda Red Lions, who finished the season with an immaculate record of 18-0.

The Letran skipper admitted that beating the formidable Red Lions would be much tougher, but they are still more than ready to defy the odds once more.

Ibubuhos namin lahat,”
