Retired PBA player Jerwin Gaco made a witty response when coach Yeng Guiao was brought up in a discussion by Rico Maierhofer.
In a YouTube video by PBA Motovlog, Gaco jokingly said that if Guiao had been his coach before, he could have been a star player in the pro league.
“Ang sa akin lang, pasalamat kayo hindi ako na-handle ni Coach Yeng. Star player dapat ako ngayon!” Gaco quipped.
“Gagamitin ako eh! Lahat ginagamit nun ‘di ba?” he added.
Gaco also hopes that he can still work with Guiao, but he said he can’t handle playing in the PBA anymore because of his age.
“Coach Yeng may chance pa, pero sa Pampanga na lang, huwag na sa PBA!” Gaco said.
Gaco was well-known as a player for the Purefoods franchise. Despite spending most of his career on the bench, he still won five championships with the team.
He last played for the Davao Occidental Tigers in the Pilipinas Super League. (Mark Patriarca)
