Jia Morado-de Guzman determined to bring home SEA Games medal

After steering Creamline to their sixth overall PVL title, Jia Morado-de Guzman shifts her focus to the 35th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

Arguably one of the best setters in the country, Morado-De Guzman is determined to also lead the national team to a podium finish in the biennial event.

“Right now, I’m really just focusing on the national team because our next target is the SEA Games, and we are really trying to get a podium finish,” she said.

The Creamline star is also excited to work with players from other teams as they will face tough opponents from various neighboring countries.

“We also want to bring what we learned from the conference and add more firepower from the stars of other teams, so we are excited to play with players from other teams as well,” she added.

The Philippines has had a long drought in the women’s volleyball event, failing to get a medal since 2005. (Mark Patriarca)
