Johnson tired of Ball’s mouth
Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson, reportedly, “admonished” an associate of LaVar Ball, following his comments about head coach Luke Walton, according to ESPN.
“I’m not gonna respond to people saying different things. [Walton] already had my vote of confidence. I was good with Luke, I was good with Jeanie,” Johnson said.
Ball, father of Laker rookie Lonzo, criticized Walton for being young, during Lakers’ nine-game losing streak.
“That’s a good team. Nobody wants to play for him. He’s too young, he ain’t connecting with them anymore,” Ball told ESPN.
After the incident, Laker owner Jeannie Buss tweeted his support for Walton, who then saw an improved Lakers after the losing streak.
