Jordan Clarkson hopes to suit for Gilas in Fiba World Cup

As Gilas Pilipinas qualifies for the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China, Filipino-American NBA player Jordan Clarkson is hoping to suit up for the Philippine team once again.
“Congrats to my bros and the country. Such an honor for the country qualifying for the World Cup, so hyped! Hope to see you guys in China!” Clarkson wroted in an Instagram post shortly after Gilas enter the World Championships.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas is reportedly doing “everything it can” to get the Cleveland Cavaliers guard on board as a local and convince FIBA to accept his application.
Clarkson played Gilas Pilipinas for the first time against China in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, where the Philippines fell short by just two points.
Together with naturalized big man Andray Blatche, the Philippines can deal serious damage against higher-seeded nations in the World Cup.
