Josh Villanueva Uses His Platform for the LGBTQIA+ Community
No one draws attention quite like a celeb or a sports idol that’s why, it creates an impact whenever that are committed to use their platform to promote the LGBTQ cause.
On Instagram, Josh Villanueva says it all when he felt obliged to speak up and stand for a worthy cause and awareness for the LGBTQIA+ community.
In a lengthy Pride Month post, Villanueva reiterated that, “I AM NOT AFRAID TO STAND AGAINST THOSE WHO REFUSE ACCEPTANCE AND LOVE. it always breaks my heart to see harsh comments online hating a person based on how they look, what they believe in, or simply by WHO THEY ARE.”
He also send a gentle reminder that, “IF YOU CANNOT ACCEPT THEN KEEP IT ALL TO YOURSELF.”
“LET US NOT ADD UP TO THE CONFUSION THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE ALREADY FACING BY UNDERSTANDING THEMSELVES,” the Phillippine men’s national volleyball team member stressed out.
Let’s face it. The battle (and judgments) may not always be easy, but it’s important to take a stand to help love win…and make it the new normal, not just during the Pride month!
