Junna Tsukii laments PH coach’s ‘bullying’ treatment
Junna Tsukii may have won her first-ever gold medal in 30th SEA Games, but her victory wasn’t that sweet after all.
The Fil-Japanese athlete just took on Facebook to reveal that her head coach Okay Arpa gave her the cold shoulder right after the game.
Aside from not recognizing her feat, Tsukii even said that Arpa went as far as bullying her.
Tsukii wrote in her post, “because you are not part of the team, that’s why your medal is not for this team or not for this country. And for me you are dead, that’s why I can’t see you because you are dead.”
According to a report from Rappler, the Turkish mentor started to harbor some ill-feeling towards the karated9lo star right after she joined at the World Karate Federation Premier League in Madrid last November 29.
Still, Tsukii vowed that she will continue to support her fellow Filipino karatekas and other athletes in the duration of SEA Games.
“However, I still want to support the team for the game that will continue tomorrow. And I pray for the victory of all Philippine athletes. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat,” she ended.
