After being relegated by Rain or Shine as an unrestricted free agent, veteran forward Jay Washington found his way back to the TNT KaTropa, the same franchise where he jumpstarted his stellar PBA career.

This marks Washington’s third stint with the flagship franchise of the MVP group.

Washington was picked no. 1 overall by FedEx in 2005, however, he suited up for the Talk N’ Text Phone Pals (now TNT) to start his PBA career following a draft night deal.

JWash played his first game for TNT in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup against no less than the Rain or Shine last Sunday.

JWash, a former Best Player of the Conference awardee, logged in 16 minutes, scoring 6 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.

“It feels good to be back out there. First game back. Still adjusting. Still trying to get comfortable with things but I’m glad we got the win today,” he said.

“I’ve played with pretty much all of the guys. As far as the players, I’m comfortable. Played with all of them last time I was here or on different teams. It’s just more just learning what they’re doing and trying to fit it,” Washington added.
