The Philadelphia 76ers are adamant about keeping Tyrese Maxey on their roster.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Sixers have no interest in trading the 22-year-old guard, even for some big stars in the league.
“The other thing the Sixers are wanting to be known is that they are not gonna trade Tyrese Maxey,” said Windhorst.
“They want you to know that you can’t have Tyrese Maxey. Prime Michael Jordan is available? Don’t call. Twenty-five-year-old LeBron James is available? Lose our number. Giannis Antetokounmpo says, ‘I want to be a Sixer?’ If Tyrese Maxey is the ask, just keep walking,” he added.
Last season, Maxey emerged as one of Philadelphia’s rising stars, averaging a career-best 20.3 points along with 2.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
With James Harden expected to leave the Sixers this offseason, Maxey is projected to take on a bigger offensive role in the upcoming season. (Mark Patriarca)
