Kai Sotto makes lineup for Basketball Without Borders Global Camp

Kai Sotto keeps on making waves abroad.

Sotto has just been included in the lineup for the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp in Chicago, the NBA and Fiba announced.

The event is set Feb. 14 to Feb. 16 at Quest Multisport as part of NBA All-Star 2020.

Coaching the top high school age campers from Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe are 2020 NBA All-Star Pascal Siakam, Washington Wizards’ Davis Bertāns, Boston Celtics’ Tacko Fall and 2017-18 NBA All-Rookie First Team member Lauri Markkanen of the Chicago Bulls.

Siakam, Bertāns, Fall and Markkanen will be joined by former WNBA players Ashley Battle, Michele Van Gorp and Ebony Hoffman, as well as select players participating in NBA All-Star 2020.

The 7-foot 2-Sotto is the second player from the Philippines to be invited to the BWB Global Camp after Filipino-Nigerian and current University of Toledo sophomore AJ Edu took part in the fourth edition of the camp in Los Angeles back in 2018.

Sotto, who is currently playing for Atlanta’s The Skills Factory, has already received a scholarship offer from the University of Georgia.

In the latest ESPN 100 rankings for the high school class of 2020, Sotto rose to no. 68 and is ranked as the no. 11 center.
