Kai Sotto ruled out on NBL debut due to knee soreness

Filipino fans will have to wait for a little while for the Filipino basketball sensation Kai Sotto.

The Adelaide 36ers ruled the 7-foot-3, 19-year old center out of their first Australia National Basketball League (NBL) regular season game on Friday, December 3, due to knee soreness.

The earliest that the fans could see Sotto on his much-awaited pro debut is on December 5 when the 36ers will host Illawara Hawks at 10 am, Manila time.

Sotto last played in Adelaide’s first preseason game last November 14 against the Cairns Taipans.

It was Sotto’s first pro game where he finished with seven points, five rebounds, and a block in less than 20 minutes as a starter.
