Kai Sotto’s NBL debut pushed back to December
Filipino fans will have to wait for a little while before they see 7-foot-3 beanpole Kai Sotto makes his debut with the Adelaide 36ers, as the National Basketball League (NBL) pushed back its season opener to December 3.
“The NBL is a fan-first product and playing in front of crowds is vital for the league and our clubs,” Loeliger said in a statement.
“Giving supporters an even better chance of seeing their teams compete at home was a key driver in moving things back slightly and in how we’ve structured the schedule,”
The NBL opening was supposed to take place on November 18, but the Filipino rising star will suit up for 36ers in a road game against the Tasmania JackJumpers.
