With the recent release of 7-foot-2 big man Bol Bol by the Orlando Magic, the 7-foot-3 Filipino center now finds himself presented with a tremendous opportunity to fulfill his dream of playing in the NBA.
In a surprising turn of events, the Magic have made the announcement of parting ways with Bol, who notably started in 33 games for Orlando during the 2022–2023 NBA season.
Throughout his 70 games with the Magic in the previous season, Bol maintained an average of 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.21 blocks, and 1.0 assist per game.
Additionally, he showcased an impressive shooting percentage of 55 percent from the field.
Following this recent development, the Magic’s roster now consists of only two centers: 6-foot-11 Moritz Wagner and 6-foot-10 Wendell Carter Jr.
Sotto will have an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities to the Orlando Magic coaching staff during the upcoming NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
The Gilas Pilipinas big man stands as the sole legitimate center on the Orlando roster for the tournament taking place from July 7 to 17.
