ECHO PH’s Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno challenged fellow jungler Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto to carry his new team, RSG Malaysia, to the M5 World Championships.
KarlTzy and Demonkite’s rivalry dates back to Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10. After one regular-season game where RSG Philippines defeated ECHO, Demonkite told the media, “Pinamukha ko lang sa kanya (KarlTzy) na ‘di siya mananalo sa ‘kin sa objectives.”
There was also an instance when both junglers ignored each other in the mandatory handshakes of players before one of their matches.
However, KarTzy had the last laugh in Season 10 as ECHO eliminated RSH PH in the lower bracket finals, 3-1. The victory sent ECHO to the M4 World Championships, where they won the title.
After the crushing defeat, Demonkite skipped the entirety of MPL PH Season 11. Now, he is making a comeback with RSG Malaysia.
KarlTzy sent a message to his former rival.
“Wala akong masabi. Galing! Good luck! Galingan mo diyan. Kita-kits sa M5, durugin mo ako ‘dun,” KarlTzy said in a post from MPL Philippines.
For Demonkite’s team to qualify for the M5, they have to win the MPL Malaysia title. Meanwhile, KarlTzy and ECHO have to reach the top two of the MPL PH to get an M5 slot. (MJD)
