Kasinungalingan! Slaughter Denies Asking NorthPort to Sit Out

NorthPort Batang Pier center Gregory Slaughter flatly denied the pronouncement of his head coach Pido Jarencio that he requested to sit out in their first two games in the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup.

Commenting in a Facebook post by Tiebreaker Times regarding Jarencio’s post-game interview where he said that Slaughter requested to sit out because he is not fit to play, the Filipino-American center denied it.

“😧 not true,” Slaughter wrote.

For days now, there were rumors that Slaughter is set to be traded to San Miguel Beermen to play as back up center with June Mar Fajardo not yet fully recovering from his injury.

Sports insider Snow Badua, meanwhile, said during his Snow Ball program on Tuesday night that the Magnolia Hotshots were also showing interest in acquiring the former Ateneo Blue Eagles center.
