Many NBA fans are in awe of Chet Holmgren’s performance in the NBA Summer League after recovering from a midfoot injury.
In his five Summer League games, Holmgren averaged an impressive 14.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, and 1.6 steals.
His remarkable performance caught the attention of Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett.
During Garnett’s interview with Holmgren, the former NBA MVP noted the improvement in the 2022 second overall pick’s game after sitting out last season.
“I can see the difference in the years, bro. Not only do you look stronger, but your IQ (has also improved),” said Garnett. “Bro, you’re blocking everything. I love it!”
Garnett went on to express his willingness to mentor the 7-foot center of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
“Anything I can help you with, just hit me up. I’m in LA. I travel, though. If you’re in Minnesota, I’ll come to Minnesota. Wherever you’re at,” Garnett added.
“Let’s get in the gym. I’m eager to pick your brain a little bit,” Holmgren happily responded. (Mark Patriarca)
