Kobe Paras to join Kyle Korver’s alma mater
Kobe Paras has verbally committed to NCAA Division 1 Creighton Bluejays after his controversial withdrawal from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
The promising Filipino prospect is set to transfer to Nebraska-based school which had produced NBA stars Atlanta Hawks’ Kyle Korver of Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings’ Anthony Tolliver and Doug McDermott of the Chicago Bulls.
The development was posted by Basketball scout Josh Gershon in his Twitter account, Monday. However, Paras or the Creighton University hasn’t made an official announcement about the move of Benjie’s son.
Paras has earlier commited to UCLA Bruins but pulled out weeks ago after reportedly failing to meet its academic requirements.
The 18-year old Paras has played impressive basketball career for Cathedral High School that drew interest from top NCAA Division 1 schools.
