Kobe Paras waves goodbye to UP

Kobe Paras has officially bid his farewell to the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.

The announcement came after the 6-foot-6 forward officially joined the East West Private, a US-based agency that handles Filipino NBA prospect Kai Sotto.

“Only 1 reason why I went to UP.

Because my dad went there and he’s a living legend ‘cause of what he did for that school,” Paras said on Twitter, who is the son of PBA legend Benjie Paras.

Paras had an amazing one-and-done season with UP, as he became a Mythical Five member of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) in Season 82 after averaging 17.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

“UP you welcomed me with open arms, I’m grateful for everything!!”

To my coaches, my teammates, management, sponsors, & the amazing fans, Thank you!” Paras said.
