Kyle Paranada has successfully finalized his move to the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers, transitioning from the University of the East Red Warriors.
On Monday, the Filipino-American guard made an appearance in UST’s team photo alongside Alfrancis Chua, the newly appointed Special Assistant to the Rector for Sports. Sporting jersey number 3, Paranada proudly posed with the team.
An insider source revealed to FastBreak that Paranada has successfully enrolled with the university and is presently undergoing his residency requirements.
“He will still be eligible for two years, beginning with UAAP Season 87 next year,” said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Last month, Paranada made a surprise move when he informed the Red Warriors of his desire to transfer to another university.
The Red Warriors cried foul on the move and accused the schools talking to Paranada of poaching.
