Kyrie Irving on retirement rumors: ‘Fake news yan’
Aside from the unvaccinated status, Kyrie Irving finally broke his silence about his rumored early retirement.
The Brooklyn Nets superstar dropped a tell-all on Instagram to explain his side regarding his retirement once he got traded, or just because of the vaccine mandate.
“Nobody’s going to take the power away from me that I have for speaking on these things,” he said.
“Don’t believe that I’m retiring. Don’t believe that I’m going to give up this game for a vaccine mandate or staying unvaccinated. Don’t believe any of that s–t, man.”

The Nets decided to shelve Irving from playing or practicing with the team until he is eligible to play full-time.
New York enforced a strict mandate regarding vaccination and unvaccinated people like Irving won’t gain access to sporting arenas.
