Lady Realtors give Lady Skippers rude welcome

Sta. Lucia spoiled the debut of Marinerang Pilipina, 25-23, 25-22, 25-23, to kick off its campaign in Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference on at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan on the right track.

Filipino-American MJ Philips provided the offense, delivering 22 points and 16 digs for the Lady Realtors.

Team captain Pam Lastimosa and Amanda Villanueva chipped in 11 points apiece while Rachel Austero added 10 markers on top of the game-winning attack.
After taking a two-set lead and holding a 19-14 cushion in the third set, the Lady Realtors flirted with disaster as the Lady Skippers uncorked a 9-1 run to take a 23-20 lead.

But the Lady Realtors fought back with five straight points with four coming from Phillips and Austero.

Cesca Racraquin had 12 points laced up with 21 digs and nine excellent receptions while Judith Abil and Dimdim Pacres added 11 and 10 markers, respectively, for the Lady Skippers.
