Lakers add Stephenson, McGee

By Erel Cabatbat

The Los Angeles Lakers continued their big night with the acquisition veteran guard Lance Stephenson and Golden State Warriors’ big Javale McGee.

The Indiana Pacer point guard has agreed to a one-year pact worth $4.5 million with the Lakers.

Indiana declined its $4.4M team option on Stephenson last June.

McGee, on the other hand, will play for the Lakers for one season with the veteran’s minimum pay. He normed 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 block per game for the two-time defending champion Warriors.

Stephenson averaged 9.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season for the Pacers. But he is best known for blowing air into LeBron James’ ear during a game while the King was still playing for Miami.

Now they will be teammates in Los Angeles as James decided to play for the Lakers.
