Injured San Miguel Beer guard Marcio Lassiter admitted that it hurts to see his squad suffer a blowout 109-96 loss at the hands of the TNT Katropa in Game 1 of their Best-of-Seven Finals at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

Seeing how the Beermen got dominated by Terrence Jones and the rest of the Katropa, Lassiter could only wish that he was there to help the team.

“I wish I could be out there with my teammates,” said Lassiter, who watched the game from the sidelines after suffering from an MCL spain in their Quarterfinals series against the NorthPort Batang Pier.

Despite the defeat, Lassiter expressed confidence to his teammates’ ability to bounce back.

“I know we’ll gonna play a lot harder knowing that the guys are down so I really feel, we can rise from those occasions.”

“We got a lot of players who are ready to step up so I’m sure Game Two will be a lot different,” Lassiter said.
