LeBron beats MJ… in jersey auction sales
LeBron James has finally surpassed Michael Jordan… in terms of jersey sale.
According to a report from TMZ, MJ’s game-worn black 1996-1997 Chicago Bulls uniform legendary ’96-’97 championship season was sold for $288,000 — which is a record-breaking from Goldin Auctions.
It also helped that the hype from “The Last Dance,” also picked up at the auction sales where starting bid was $75,000.
According to Ken Goldin, Jordan’s 1984 Team USA jersey was the most expensive game-used threads for about $173,000 dollars.
Until… LBJ’s rookie uniform from Cleveland Cavaliers was sold recently for $371,200.
Goldin says that the Los Angeles Lakers star rocked that Cavs jersey in 2003 during his 5th and 8th games in the NBA — one of which when he clashed with fellow rookie from Miami Heat Dwyane Wade.
