Following his arrival in Manila on Tuesday, Utah Jazz star Jordan Clarkson has linked up with local basketball officials.
The Filipino-American met with Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas President Al Panlilio and Chairman Emeritus Manny V. Pangilinan a day before joining the Gilas Pilipinas practices on Wednesday for their preparations for the FIBA World Cup.
The national team only has 20 days to integrate the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year into their system.
Clarkson will suit up for the national team in a pair of scrimmages with Montenegro and Mexico on August 20 and 21, respectively.
Also expected to join them is Kai Sotto, who is undergoing rehab for his back injury.
