LOOK: League Leaders from UAAP Season 82


These players showed up and rose to the occasion during the eliminations round of UAAP Season 82.

Alex Diakhite and Rey Suerte of UE were the league’s leading scorers with 17.62 and 17.57 points respectively, but the Recto-based hoopers missed the Final Four with a 4-10 win-loss.

Next man up is Kobe Paras of UP in the third spot with 17.42 ppg, while Dave Ildefonso of NU and Soulemane Chabi Yo of UST landed at fourth and fifth spot, as the former registered 17. 14 ppg while the latter was good with 16.93.

However, the 6-foot-4 Chabi Yo led the rebounding department grabbing 14.71 per game, while La Salle’s Justine Baltazar was the only local player who made it to the top five list, being the fourth best rebounder with 11.79 rpg.

State U’s Jun Manzo proved that he is the league’s floor general as he tallied 4.29 assists per game, while La Salle’s Andrei Caracut (4.14 apg), FEU’s LJ Gonzales (4.0 ppg), Suerte (3.86 apg), and La Salle’s Aljun Melecio (3.71 apg) occupied the 2-5 spots respectively.

UP’s Bright Akhuetie led the league in steals despite being a big man 1.57 spg, while the all-around Suerte ranked third with 1.21.

These stats may have provided a huge testament to most players who are proving themselves in the league.
