The 30th Southeast Asian Games officially opened on Saturday night at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Many fans were left in awe with PH’s world-class performance, as well other spectacles and ceremonies which included the parade of numerous athletes from each Southeast Asian nations.

However, the highlight of the opener went to the Pinoy Legends, who gathered for one night just to take on the centerstage and carry the SEA Games Federation flag

Athletes like Lydia de Vega (athletics), Akiko Thomson-Guevara (swimming), Eric Buhain (swimming), Bong Coo (bowling), Efren β€œBata” Reyes (billiards), Onyok Velasco (boxing), and Paeng Nepomuceno (bowling) gave the Filipino crowd a bit of a nostalgia.

Netizens were captivated to see the eight Pinoy legends grace the SEA games opening event, and it was definitely a trip down memory lane for them.

However, it was the billiards legend Reyes who received the loudest ovation from 55,000 faithfuls at the venue, and he also gained the most recognition on social media.
